About Family Justice Centers
A Family Justice Center is a multi-disciplinary approach to helping victims of crime. A Family Justice Center is a nationally recognized evidence-based model that provides a community of support and healing for survivors of crimes such as domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, elder abuse, and human trafficking. The Foundation’s goal is to create a Family Justice Center that will bring together professionals from many different disciplines including police, victim advocates, prosecutors, civil legal aid, social services, mental health, and forensic nurses under one roof so that survivors can receive all the help they need in one place.

Make the Family Justice Center a reality
The Foundation’s immediate goal is to raise $70,000 towards hiring the Family Justice Center Alliance—an organization that helps Family Justice Centers all over the world to form and grow. The Alliance does a community study, a strategic planning tour, and provides technical assistance. Their involvement is critical to the success of the Johnson County Family Justice Center.
